The first floor of the library building is intended for communication between library visitors: students with teachers and with each other; consultations on issues of academic honesty and publication activity; holding seminars, trainings, conferences, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On the first floor there is a conference hall, an academic writing center, a cafeteria, rooms for individual and group work and relaxation; a computer lab; and a museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The museum in the library <\/strong>is a tribute to people who have dedicated many years of their lives to serving education and science and have made a great contribution to the development of the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Conference hall <\/strong>\u2013 a space equipped with modern presentation technologies for exchanging ideas, holding seminars, meetings, trainings and conferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Relaxation room <\/strong>\u2013 a comfortable and quiet space for use during study breaks. It is designed to relieve stress, receive psychological consultations during exam sessions, and increase productivity in studies or work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Academic Writing Center, individual and group work rooms, the relaxation room, and the conference room can all be booked for their intended use in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Readers can book the individual and group work rooms<\/strong> for 2 hours per day<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Readers can book a place in the relaxation room<\/strong> for 45 minutes per day<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1st Floor Library Plan for Reservations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Children’s playroom<\/strong> \u2013 a safe environment specially equipped for young mothers and their children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mother’s room<\/strong> \u2013 place of rest and care for infants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Computer lab <\/strong>\u2013 laboratory with up-to-date computer equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ☕ Cafeteria<\/strong> (<\/em>Mosaic<\/em><\/strong>)<\/em> \u2013 a nice place to enjoy delicious food and coffee and chat with friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Library users also have access to drinking water fountains<\/em> on the first and second floors of the library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The first floor also houses the library staff’s space<\/em>, designed as an “open office”. The office is equipped in accordance with modern requirements and provides all the conditions for the library staff to work effectively. It has separate offices for the library director and h<\/em>er<\/em> deputy<\/em>, who perform administrative functions. The work places of the staff of the <\/em>Acquisitions <\/em>and <\/em>Cataloging<\/em> Department<\/em> are also located there. The department is engaged in replenishing the library’s collection with high-quality literature, scientific systematization and processing of newly received publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The library staff’s space<\/em> has a meeting room for exchanging opinions, discussing new ideas and making important decisions for the development of the library and improving the information and library services it provides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All library departments are focused on the balanced, effective and productive work of the library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The <\/em>Second <\/em>F<\/em>loor of the <\/em>L<\/em>ibrary<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n On the second floor of the Library there are two reading halls: Western<\/strong> and Eastern<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The reading halls are equipped with up-to-date security systems against unauthorized removal of literature in the form of anti-theft gates and a video surveillance system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In both reading halls, RFID (radio frequency identification) technology has been implemented to provide library users with the opportunity for self-service using self-service stations installed there. Self-service stations allow users to take books for home loan themselves and then take them out of the reading hall without hindrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On-duty librarians<\/em> in both reading halls will help you select literature for your research work, systematize bibliographic references and compile bibliography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n West Reading <\/strong>Hall<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Western Reading Hall is the largest of the reading halls of the Seraly Kaniev Library. Its space is an indispensable environment for students and researchers seeking deep knowledge and reliable information in various fields of science. A quiet atmosphere, a spacious and bright room, comfortable chairs and a rich book collection on all branches of knowledge relevant to the university, developing the intellectual potential of the reader – all this is designed in accordance with modern standards in library design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The following main information resources of the library in printed form are collected here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Social and humanit<\/strong>y<\/strong> sciences<\/strong>: national and foreign publications on philosophy, psychology, history, political science, pedagogy, cultural studies, linguistics and literature, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Natural sciences<\/strong>: textbooks and scientific works on biology, ecology, chemistry, geography, physics, mathematics and other disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Reference publications<\/strong>: encyclopedias, dictionaries, reference books are reliable sources for obtaining accurate, reliable and up-to-date information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For teachers and <\/em>PhD<\/em> students<\/em> – an exclusive information space: a room for faculty and doctoral students, in which PhD and master’s dissertations, as well as rare publications are collected in one place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rare collection and documents<\/strong>: a collection of literature and old publications of historical and cultural value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/tlibrary.qyzpu.edu.kz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/image-4.png\")
